am currently working as a tutor in a primary school, but I am very interested in moving into secondary education—especially teaching English. I want to teach because I genuinely enjoy helping students gain confidence through language. In my last experience, I tutored a Form 4 student in English, and seeing their progress motivated me greatly. Watching them improve their understanding, organise their ideas more clearly, and feel more comfortable in lessons made me realise how powerful good teaching can be. That experience also helped me learn what works: clear explanations, step-by-step practice, and lessons that build confidence as well as skills. English is not just about memorising; it is about communication, thinking, and self-expression. I noticed that when students feel supported, they participate more, take learning seriously, and start believing they can succeed. I am especially interested in supporting ethnic minority students. Some may have difficulties with language, exam vocabulary, or they may feel misunderstood in classroom discussions. I want to be the teacher who makes English accessible—using inclusive examples, encouraging every student to speak and write, and creating a respectful environment where students feel valued. I am eager to gain more experience teaching secondary students so I can develop my skills further and prepare for a future teaching role. My goal is to inspire students through English and help them achieve real progress and strong exam outcomes.
